Interview Tips
Prior to the Interview:
1. Research the company by visiting the the company’s website.
2. Find out what lines of business the company is in and who their competitors
are.
3. Who are the firm's top managers? What are their responsibilities?
4. Have there been any recent changes in the company itself or in it's
marketplace?
The Interview:
1. First impressions are very important. Be very focused in the first few minutes
of the interview.
2. Be conscious of your presentation. Sit up straight, speak clearly and
establish eye contact
3. Prepare a list of questions relating to the responsibilities of the postion.
4. Prepare a list of your strengths and why you fit the position extremely well.
5. Do not answer with just a yes or no. However, you also don't want to ramble
on. Be informative yet concise.
6. Be enthusiatic and positive. Tell the interviewer you want to continue the
process and that you are confident you can do the job.
7. Do not speak negatively about past employers or past colleagues.
After the Interview
1. A short thank you note to the potential employer following the interview is a
very good idea.
2. Call to let us know how it went!
